We at Maxus are accredited as per ISO/IEC 17043:2010 to conduct Proficiency Testing in various fields. Our objective is to Work together to achieve quality standards, minimise errors and maximise efficiency.
PROFICIENCY TESTING is the most efficient method to determine/monitor the performance of individual laboratories for specific tests methods. It is the evaluation of participant performance against pre-established criteria by means of inter laboratory comparisons.
The goal of every Laboratory is to provide its clients the most accurate results of the sample provided to them. It becomes the responsibility of the Laboratory to keep a check on its performance regularly and to identify areas of improvement so as to achieve a higher standard of efficiency for the organisation as a whole. Participating in a PT program ensures just that, it gives the laboratory the opportunity to compare its performance to other laboratory’s pan India and internationally so as to ultimately reduce the margin of error in their reports.
A poor performance indicates that the management of a laboratory should analyse and understand the performance of its individual/team’s overall improvement areas required to achieve higher standards.
Every Laboratory needs to understands its responsibility towards its client as its report becomes the basis of analysis on which the sample and by extension the whole product would be accepted or rejected by the client. So, the laboratory management should not just participate in the PT programs to demonstrate its performance to the external assessors but to use it as a tool to understand and improve, so as to ensure the best outcome for its clients.
Good understanding by the team of the testing methodology used to perform said tests
Excellent handling of the test sample
Appropriate environmental conditions in which the tests are being performed
